First time I’ve seen someone file a report whilst wearing a snorkel.
Airlie Walsh did well to be even somewhat audible whilst trying to keep her head above water down at Jervis Bay.

Sophie Walsh*
Sorry I get them mixed up sometimes!
Wednesday 17 July & Thursday 18 July -
Lizzie Pearl is presenting Early News.
Wednesday 17 July & Thursday 18 July -
Livinia Nixon is presenting weather from Mount Hotham on Melbourne 4pm & 6pm bulletins.
Clint Stanaway is presenting sport in Melbourne this week.
This will be music to @SydneyCityTV’s ears - Sophie Walsh is presenting weather in Sydney tonight.
Indeed:
A bit sad that this very well could be her final forecast before moving to the London bureau though!
Thursday 18 July & Friday 19 July -
Carrie-Anne Greenbank is presenting Afternoon News in Melbourne.
Friday 19 July -
Sophie Walsh is presenting Morning News & Sydney Afternoon News.
Today is Sophie’s last day in Sydney with her heading off to take up her new role as European Correspondent based in London.
I know we’ve been expecting this to happen for about 4-6 weeks, but still…oh how we’re going to miss seeing just about the best weather presenter Nine News Sydney has/had (even if Sophie wasn’t used as a forecaster that often, especially recently)!
Friday: Jayne Azzopardi presenting Sydney 6pm tonight
Thanks for the warning.
It’s about time that Nine allowed Jayne Azzopardi the opportunity to present a Sydney 6pm bulletin during the ratings season!
Now realistically this won’t happen, but it’d be even better if Sophie Walsh got to present one last forecast on what presumably is her final day on-air before moving to London.
But it’s only happened because Mark Burrows is on holidays.
Anyway l’m happy to see she is presenting tonight in Sydney. She will probably be presenting tomorrow night as well.
Karen Pini and Alan Wilkie would disagree with you, I think.
Flawless, so far.
Of course I meant currently/recently!
So she didn’t have a grin on her face while she was reading the autocue?
She just looked natural as if she was reading the news.
Brett McLeod has returned from holidays today, he is back presenting First at Five News and Melbourne News this weekend.
Corey Norris is presenting sport on First at Five News and Melbourne News this weekend.
Moving the conversation in this thread because it’s a more relevant place for it.
You haven’t specifically said “Deb should be replaced by Mark Burrows on Nine News Sydney” and aren’t trying to imply that you have - apologies if it’s come across that way.
Although I do personally get the impression that you probably wouldn’t mind seeing Deb replaced by Mark going by some of your recent comments: Citing Deb’s role on Today as a factor as to why Nine’s Sydney 6pm news ratings have fallen, essentially saying that Deb is barely a Sydney 6pm newsreader anymore, criticising talent like Azzopardi & Walsh, etc - this is why I’m asking that question to you.
