I hope that Paul Taylor is redeployed as QTQ’s answer to TCN’s Mike Dalton as he has IMO been quite a good fit for those stories recently. Previously we had Alex Heinke, who was good, but I think Paul was a lot better.
Natassia Apolloni would at least be familiar to Illawarra viewers having held senior roles at WIN News before moving to Nine shortly after the affiliation swap.
As well as an occasional fill-in on the bulletins with Mike Lorigan.
Samantha Heathwood will be returning - no mention of Paul Taylor.
Is Nicole Rowles and Paul Murphy still at the network?
Has Vanessa O’Hanlon been redeployed?
Doesn’t look like it. As mentioned before no mention of Nine in her social media bios, one person saying they were “thinking of her.”
She is on metro bulletin now, often reports during Late News.
I know she was filing some stories a little while back. Haven’t seen her do it lately. How long ago was that though?
New bulletin mentioned in the Central West tonight:
What an incredible marketing push. A 2 second mention On one update. But a 60 second ALERT bug
Priorities
Nathan Currie gone from Nine:
Shame to see him go. Loss for the Melbourne team.
Another one gone…but will go to the Sunshine Coast!
And another one goes to Melbourne.
Mitchell Sarioviski changed his twitter bio which had 9news border Northeast on it but now says journalist and he only recently started coming from prime7 news so very unfortunate
the last time 9 news western Vic had a local news alert according to their Facebook page was July 20th
Replacing Ally Cullen as Senior Journalist. Cullen is moving into an Executive Producer role for the 9 News Local bulletins.
All the Nine News Regional Facebook pages aren’t ran well.
Some pages decided to not post for months on end last year.
Twitter seems a bit better. Regular re-tweets from reporters and the the national accounts (with press conferences).
And Instagram is abandoned for the few accounts that were made, except for Darwin - which regularly puts out behind-the-scenes content.
