It’s to my understanding that there’s still a local WIN News bulletin in Gippsland.
Yep, WIN still airing news in all regional Vic markets - except Border North-East.
What is happening with the Darwin?
TV guides don’t say anything about a local bulletin - so nothing at this stage.
Just Queensland’s news at 6pm seven nights a week as is now.
It will be a crying shame if going forward all Nine Darwin gives viewers are glorified noodle updates, that aren’t even advertised on the EPG/TV guides. NTD viewers have been accustomed to a dedicated bulletin - the only local news bulletin on commercial networks - since 1982. Lumping Darwin news it in with RQLD was bad enough - now it effectively looks like a bulletin as such is dumped completely. I do hope not.
Socials will still be operated, local stories will be uploaded - along with breaking news.
From my understanding, local opt-outs will continue with local election coverage planned but I’m suspecting something will be implemented once the SCA bulletins are settled into their new format.
With the way promotion is going across all these regions, I wouldn’t be surprised if Darwin is getting a full hour local bulletin on Monday evening but viewers don’t know about it.
what is all this viral content from Nine Darwin?
Zero chance
Natassia Appoloni will host NSW
Just found it on Twitter.
Can I ask who she is? I haven’t heard her name before.
I believe she was a senior reporter in the Illawarra and an occasional reporter for 9 News Sydney.
Never even heard of her. Sounds like they’ll run till the end of the year and quietly exit.
She also did a lot of today show.
She’s been on maternity leave for a while
So, Jo Hall in Victoria. Who in Queensland?
Also, in Queensland, the main control room operates the Gold Coast output. So, regional will likely come from the secondary controls, with the regional set being used on air. Also, using the metro set would be intruding on 6pm prep.
She did some time reporting and presenting for Win News too.
