Another win on Tuesday.

I wonder if the 1990s and early 2000s have returned to Nine with a 6pm State News/A Current Affair Combined single trailer? Just saw one of those in Victoria a few minutes ago for the first time ever on TV.

Not sure what you saw. But it looked to me like two separate promos at least in the metro markets. First one was for 6pm with and end board followed by ACA. Same as every other day. Was there a joint end board or something?

Those ‘joint promos’ were great … very punchy, but not as powerful now since it’s not just an ‘hour’… though they could use the wording ‘leading coverage’ (in Syd/Melb/Bris at least) instead of ‘leading hour’.

They should bring them back.

Not the first time I’ve seen this. Definitely saw it on Monday.

Nine combine a variety of news promos in the hour leading up to the news with other promos - sometimes ACA, sometime Today, and other time the 7.30pm program etc. Sometimes the news promo is solo. There is variety to the news promos across the hour as well.

And for several weeks at least.

That was the particular one I saw during the Australian Tipping Point sometime between 5:10 pm and 5:20 pm in Victoria.

Watching it today, it reminded me of what we saw during the 1990s and Early 2000s in NSW and VIC Mainly. Not sure about QLD, but being originally from WA, Nine also had 6pm Bulletin/ACA Joint promos during this time as I have seen some of those on Youtube.

What I also mean is that I have never seen promos for Today and 60 Minutes being combined with 6pm State Bulletin ones and I did also see that during Australian Tipping Point (First 20 Mins).

Plus a win on Thursday - that’s 3 wins in one week for Nine News metro.

Thank you Tipping Point

Have Nine won any weeks nationally? We aren’t at the halfway point yet for the ratings year.

Including this week, Nine News has won the last three 5-city metro ratings (based on Total TV viewing).

Nine Queensland - longer headlines in update/promo

This is complete deception and an outright lie by 9News.
There was NO confession or regret expressed in the interview with Annastacia. She stood by every one of her decisions during the COVID period.
A headline like that is extremely damaging when we know lots of people don’t watch the full interviews any more, they just read headlines.
