Just pointing out that while the news was a “solo read” there was a sports presenter.
Melissa was very “shouty” tonight.
Obviously someone’s got to make up for the absence of Andrew’s booming voice, as well as QLD’s need for every story to be presented in a ‘were all gonna die’ tone .
would they normally move him over to news and not have a sport presenter?
No. That’s why I was confused as to why it was mentioned Jono was on sport. He always is regardless of main anchor absences.
so Jono did his normal job?
Yep.
And so far it’s been all fluff and filler, no word on the verdict yet. Reporter repeating herself and reading from her phone. Hyper-sensationalist.
Did this go out nationally?
I’m watching it in regional Qld today.
Yes - all markets.
This is almost painful to watch.
So much for the show I was watching……
… and the host back in the studio got the decision before the reporter outside the court! What a joke!
Then the reporter repeated it 3 times. Omg
… now she’s said it 5 times!
This is going on and on. So I’m guessing I don’t get to see the end of what I was watching???
Oh thank God for that. They’ve just abruptly cut it off in the middle of the 2 reporters and a legal expert outside the court, and gone to commercials.
Nine cut the network feed just after 1 pm. Melbourne continued until 1:17 with Getaway as filler programming required to synch with the rest of the network.
What’s the point of the pulsating map in the corner of live stories on 9News Qld? It’s a waste of time as you can’t see the whole map for context, and it’s covered by 2 lines of text anyway.
An attempt to emulate Japanese television?
I wonder how many cuts will come from news.
38 according to the Herald
Doesn’t have anything to do with Nine News Content and appearance does it?
Edited. As above.
