Maitland NSW was referred to in today’s Sydney 4pm bulletin as being “on the North Coast”… its never been considered as a coastal town, it’s in the Hunter Valley.

Reminded me of the time they referred to Cessnock as being “in the state’s Central West”.
But then they managed to correctly identify Port Macquarie as being on the mid-north coast during their breaking news report on the cyclone. Must have found that atlas pretty quick
