Nine running with rolling coverage again in Sydney this afternoon, presented by Charles Croucher and Davina Smith. Not too sure what time it commenced.

With the situation only getting worse over the coming hours, I wonder if Nine will continue with rolling coverage into the 6pm news. It does make for a bit of an awkward transition though, doesn’t it?

There is certainly enough happening around the city - critical info for commuters plus evacuation orders to broadcast - to fill extended coverage until 6pm. Some of the scenes are amazing. I notice that while Seven is covering other stories like sport and Ukraine, Nine is sticking to the flooding.

It’s just a repeat of what’s happening every 20 mins, nothing new really. But it’s helpful for people watching at home to see what’s happening around the city.
