Yes it is, all their producers and studio crews are here. They copped a ton of shit in the mid 2000s for moving some studio stuff interstate. They are both as local as each other, save for most of 9s reporters being here as a training ground for jobs in the east, where as 7s are all long serving locals.
Oh ok, thanks I didn’t realise it had been moved back.
It’s a dig at 10 not 7, I’d say.
Appears that Melbourne’s afternoon news used the skycam at the start of the bulletin then returned to the normal afternoon news backdrop towards the end of the bulletin
Around 4:15pm:
4:50pm
Skycam is much better
Queensland promo
“Jono’s father had a massive heart attack at just 46. Now Warnie’s death may have saved his own life”.
Again and again, these sensationalist undertones make Nine News no. 1 in SEQ.
Wtf is this ??
I honestly don’t know what to say.
What is this meant to be?
Having a check up is not “news”.
Reminds me of the time NBN News ran a report on their long serving news presenter Ray Dinneen having a skin check done.
Seems to me similar to when all the newsreaders were shown having COVID vaccinations.
If his own father had a “massive heart attack at 46”, why did it take recent shock heart attack deaths to spark Jono’s wake up call? The promo makes Jono sound like he’s a bit slow.
I guess we should be thankful they aren’t broadcasting Jono’s colonoscopy or a stool sample collection for his bowel cancer test kit.
Oh grief this is pathetic
I’m worried that you’ve just given Nine a few ideas.
A program called “Up Yours”?
Monday 14 March -
Alicia Loxley is presenting Melbourne’s Afternoon News from Birrarung Marr at Moomba, with Tony Jones presenting sport and Madeline Slattery presenting weather.
News broadcasts in the middle of a crowd can be quite risky. Have to constantly watching the background. There was one point when it looked like something might get between the camera a Alicia but only brief impact.
Looked good until the background also had “breaking news”
