If they did then WIN News would have to be axed, that’s why.
9 News doesn’t make it’s decisions based on what Win is doing.
Nine is number one in Brisbane with Hot Seat also winning its timeslot. Why change a winning formulae? It would also impact Nine News Gold Coast.
^ this. 9’s Brisbane and GC News are controlled back to back from the same control room, as the other control room looks after NBN and Darwin.
From what I understand, the GC studio is considered an extension of studio 41 (QTQ news) so you couldn’t control both at the same time for seperate bulletins.
So from a technical point of view, I don’t think it would be possible for 9 to output different bulletin for both the GC and Brisbane at the same time. And they wouldn’t move the GC bulletin since it’s rated well for over 20 years at 5.30.
Please i cant
Nine News Perth started at 6.40pm, just after Ash Barty was presented with the Australian Open women’s singles trophy. The bulletin ran for 30 minutes while Ash’s interview was on 9Gem.
And from a ratings perspective… Nine News won over Seven News Perth. Enjoy it, because it’s a one off.
By a lot. And Perth was Nine News’s strongest market in terms of difference in ratings between Seven. That’s something you’ll only hear once.
It’ll need to be time adjusted as it’d include the 1830-1840 period which was the tennis and not the actual news. Also, 30 minutes vs 60 minutes isn’t really a fair comparison anyway.
Live from Melbourne Park again tonight.
It’s very smart of them to have shortened the news to 30mins… again.
Love having the news from Melbourne Park. The new Centre Piece broadcast studios are great. It will be interesting to see what sets international broadcasters build in them in the coming years.
Are there any behind the scenes from the new broadcast centre?
Did Perth bother with a News bulletin tonight?
It will be on after the tennis - 10.20pm in Perth Atm
It’s on right now. Started around 10:37pm
They gave us “Nine News First At Five”, and now “Nine News Last At Ten Thirty, But Better Late Than Never”.
Unfortunately in Melbourne the still backdrop is back. No live shot. Why do Sydney and Perth get the live shots while Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane get still pictures?
