Nine News Content and Appearance (2015-Sept 2020)

Seven hardly invented “curbside viewing” as you call it.

I have wondered the same thing.
I can only conclude that they have done it simply because they can.
The new studio is on the very outskirts of the CBD, so they wont have very much pedestrian traffic other than a relatively few people rushing to or from work. It is also not truly a ‘curbside’ studio, it is 40+ Metres back from the footpath, so you can’t see what’s happening inside the studio without a substantial diversion from the footpath. Calling it a Curbside studio or a CBD studio is good marketing, but a serious stretch from reality. Having said that, it is still an impressive set and a great investment from Nine.

Watching more of Nine News Perth as it’s in HD and the set is far more superior to 7 News Perth’s

I recorded it on a set-top box, but I’m not entirely sure how to get it on a PC to upload to YouTube, I’ll try though!

I’d prefer if the look was just red only. That looks amazing :o

The more I look at those graphics the more I don’t like them  Idk they just look same same but different lol.

Apart from that, the sets amazing! And the camera qualitys so good :+1:

They need to fix those wonky buildings in the backdrop.

Like most of Perth’s refreshed look, having a “Breaking News” mode for the set is just a bit too much for my tastes.

I’m going to say one thing about this revamp and the new studio in the CBD.
Put your minds back to 2011. If I was a time traveler from 2016 who came to this forum, and I was asked what would STWs news set look like in 5 years time… nobody would believe me for a second. They might believe me if I said it was Sydney or Melbournes set, but not little old WIN owned Perth’s.
