9pm is not late BTW.
Donât come on now me.
You read into it what you want to.
I figured the reason for the launch was pretty obvious.
Just as the reason for regional âtemporarilyâ stopping broadcasts was.
I didnât read into anything. I havenât even watched any of these bulletins.
It was a misleading post. I wasnât the only one who read it that way. Why do you think so many people liked it?
Even @nationalnews is referring to it as permanent and he has 9 sources.
I wouldnât say it was misleading, and could easily be interpreted differently.
Pretty obvious itâs a temporary bulletin given the current circumstances, and thereâs no reason it couldnât become a permanent addition down the track depending on how it goes but I never thought it was permanent.
Well sorry to you then if you found it misleading.
The late bulletin as it stands according to my sources is temporary and only because of the covid 19 situation.
Gosh the splitting hairs in this thread
I think some people here need to take a deep breath and calm down.
I donât think you realise the nature of decision making at the moment in newsrooms is not long term (ie a new permanent bulletin), itâs planning for the next bulletin, or adding extra content each day. No-one in media is looking far ahead, certainly not to establishing a full bulletin and staffing that.
The number of on air bulletins and hours might be sufficient for today, but tomorrow might need to be increased/decreased.
The only thing that bugs me is the partial use of old graphics for both Today and Nine News
Can people here stop using âsourcesâ as an excuse to release information.
You either work for the network or you donât. Sometimes I feel like there arenât actually any sources.
Nine uses a mix of After Effects and Cinema 4D.
No. Weâre not making that a rule.
People here at the forum do have sources and they have proven over time to be right and are members we trust. Those that say they have sources and donât are generally found out pretty quickly when information proves to be erroneous.
Others may use the word âsourcesâ, while being an employee so itâs harder to have info traced back to them.
Incredibly difficult to police and Iâm not sure why we would?
Iâm not against discussing various sources of information but it seems as if multiple people have different sources telling them different things so it all gets mixed up then arguments happen. It gets a little frustrating sometimes.
Sort of where people need to calm down and understand itâs just a forum too.
I can get that it can be frustrating but as mentioned, the users that prove themselves time and again to be right are the ones we trust.
Itâs also quite possible that when contrasting information is posted by different users, the users posting that might both believe they are posting correct information but wires may be crossed or they might not be in the right department to be hearing the direct information and are piecing things together from bits theyâve heard. Very few people do it maliciously and those people usually get binned quick.
One of the great things about Media Spy is having users that feed us inside information about networks. But itâs never going to be perfect
Agree!
Donât know why Nine didnât take the opportunity to do a cross-platform promo for Sydney & Melbourne viewers which their print and radio outlets
Just you. It was normal size.
