Really really amazing. The Today Perth set (re-lit) looks gorgeous with those colours. And if you pay close attention - there is some amazing detail. Either side of the giant screen there is vertical screens, but with a angle edges - playing lovely animating graphic designs. Really,w ell done

Love it! So international that it puts Seven News Sydney’s imitation of NBC’S set to shame. Love the desk just hope that is a live shot Perth behind Tim and Emmy! Very large and spacious. Great work Nine and I hope to see similar nation wide soon. And more generally, a decent promo.
And promise you that is just the start. What the set is capable of is simply incredible. Told you all, you’d be impressed

Can’t believe they still haven’t bothered to update the Melbourne/Sydney/Brisbane set yet. It’s around 7 years old and the set before this current one looked like this in Melbourne. Had a massive wooden desk IIRC.

Nine’s set looks fantastic, I really love how they’re making an actual effort - something which didn’t really seem to happen in Perth until NEC came along. It’s a shame 7 didn’t make the same sort of effort with their Dianella studio - the virtual set still looks awful compared to the real deal, and they don’t do anything interesting with it anyway.

From the promo it sounds like they have 2 studio spaces (I think I read that above), Tracey says Today Perth News is from “9 Plaza” then Tim says from 6, 9 News is live from “The top of the Terrace”. Interesting
Has anyone been able to screen cap the promo for the best bits of the studio.
In the first pic, on the TV screen (far right) it looks like a new modified version of the Nine News logo. Fingers crossed for some more big changes

Yeah could work really well into an overall look. See this is the kinda stuff I was expecting when Nine Adelaide moved literally like this time last year.
If that’s the Perth version of the new Nine News set, then I think that we’ll be heavily drooling at what Sydney and Melbourne eventually get! What more can I say?
After seeing what is apparently supposed to be the precursor of the new standardised 6pm bulletin set for Nine News, Seven News Perth’s virtual set and Seven News Sydney’s “poor mans NBC Nightly News” set now look really pathetic and dated in comparison.
It’s the precursor to news sets around the country, so Sydney (and all major capital cities) will get something similar to that. One can only imagine how excited Peter Overton and Ken Sutcliffe would be about the new Nine News Sydney set, after spending seven years in the current/soon to be old set.
