I was disappointed that, after losing to 7 last night, they decided to copy 7’s model and have both anchors on location, instead of one in studio for the rest of the day’s news. But, we’ve come to expect this from the Brisbane newsrooms.
Special bushfire bulletin tonight after Seachange
- The Brisbane newsrooms of 7 & 9.
What were they used for?
Don’t usually watch 9 News at 4pm (Melbourne) but was waiting for 10 News First to come on and the long closer was abruptly cut of for the Millionaire Hot Seat intro. Is this normal?
Mid-bulletin headline recap on the Early News.
Nine News Sydney seen at the end of Melbourne’s news today for a split second.
Story on Nine News tonight seems to get two key facts wrong. The headline of “Second Earth” and the opening “new planet, the first ever found with life-giving water in its atmosphere.”
Yet according to the report its self and the original article water has been discovered in the atmospheres of almost every Jupiter-like gas giant found and researchers are very clear to point out “it is not Earth 2.0.”
I suppose a science-based story is better than another report on Aldi or Woolworths

Nine needs to fix their timing issues. The bulletin ended with about 10-15 seconds of darkness before WWOS.
Add to that, in Sydney, Deborah Knight incorrectly said at the end of the bulletin that “Leila McKinnon is next with A Current Affair” when that was only shown in the southern states tonight due to the NRL Finals
SCA timing is worse. Every ad break cuts early into the standard Nine promos, and then has 10-15 seconds of darkness at the end of every break.
Nine News Perth is covering the 5PM slot this Saturday.
Adelaide using the megawall for the weather, like the east coast. Is this new? Anyone have any more caps?
Thought I’d post a comparison between the new set colours in Melbourne vs the rest of the country:
(Caps @ScreenTower )
The more I look at them, I feel like the Melbourne one works a lot better by providing more emphasis on the screens given that the dark blues aren’t as harsh as white.
