“Opening Bounce” or “Bounce Down” would be better than “Start Of Play” and “Full Time” or “Final Siren” would make more sense than “End Of Play”?
You never hear commentators say “Start Of Play” or “ End Of Play” during football matches, these are not terms commonly used in football (to my knowledge).
With all due respect the creator of that graphic probably spent 10 seconds thinking about what description to use, and the viewers apart from MS members wouldn’t have given a shit either.
Technical difficulties on the 4pm News in Brisbane today. In the last segment, the wrong vision was played for the wrong stories in the 6pm preview. And, for the weather section, Alison had to read almost the whole segment piece-to-camera (no vision overlay of the satellite or temperatures). Towards the end, they were able to throw to the live skycams over Brisbane and the Gold Coast (which had no relevance to what she was saying). However, it was still felt very long-winded. Probably would have been better to recap the news headlines or just finish early with a long-themed closer.
There was also a problem with the story graphic on the screen at the start of the Sydney bulletin. They switched to the Harbour Bridge shot part way through Overton’s report intro.
