Red white and blue 3D - so virtually no change at all
Nine news Perth to move into new Studios September 19th and the new set is âMassive, will blow everyone awayâ and is a âprecursor to sets around the countryâ.
So Perth gets the new set and the rest of the country will follow.
Also interesting, they move out on the 16th (Fri) and Start telecasting Monday 19th. Weekend news from interstate maybe?
Obviously that person has never heard of Media Spy.
Heâs not lying. I think even media spy will be impressed. My personal opinion, the greatest news set to ever be built in Australia by a country mile. Big call I know, but it really is wow.
WOW, well it canât be hard to beat Seven News Perthâs. So will Nine News stations all relaunch on that week, or will it just Nine News Perth? And the graphics relaunch?
I wouldnât be surprised if they do what they did in Adelaide and present the weekend news from in front of a screen over the weekend and the Monday date refers to the new set.
Somehow I wouldnât be totally surprised if the next generation of Nine News sets and On-Air Presentation will probably be an evolution (or modernisation) of what they already have. Iâd definitely expect to see familiar elements like the current logo and the âdotted globeâ motif to be kept.
I wonder if theyâll keep the current theme music intact though. Thatâs something I would definitely be really disappointed not to see (or more to the point, hear) updatedâŚ
Unfortunately I still donât think it will be enough to stop Perth from remaining loyal to Seven News which isnât just Perthâs most watched news in the city, but a local institution. Although it is very, very good to know that Nine will be properly investing into the Perth market with their new studios and news setâŚmost likely at a level you could never expect some of Nine Perthâs previous owners to match.
If the new Nine News Perth set will blow everyone away, the next Nine News sets for the 6pm news in Sydney and Melbourne are probably going to be something quite epicâŚ
Hereâs hoping that it turns out to be something truly awesome and not just a half ass attempt like a certain other network like doing
Now this is hype. All aboard!
Will be interesting to see what the new set is like and also how itâs rolled out nation wide. especially in Adelaide as theyâve only been there for a year and the studio isnât that big.
Iâm not sure how big the 9Adelaide studios are, the new 9Perth studio is also not very big - Approx. 230 sq mtr. Like Adelaide, big enough for news & not much else.
Iâm looking forward to seeing what itâs like & how they utilise the space
Iâd imagine that Nine News Adelaide most likely wonât have to wait as long for a new set as Nine News Darwin. They had to wait until Mid-Late 2011 (I think?) for their current set which was actually the old Richmond studios set for Nine News Melbourne!
Although this probably goes without saying, I personally hope Nine News Sydney will get itâs new set within the foreseeable future. Even though itâs aged well, after seven years (especially having seen at least three major changes to the news sets of Seven/Ten in Sydney during that time and the not insignificant tweaks of Nine News bulletins in smaller markets of recent years) itâs definitely well and truly time for something new by now IMO!
Sydney News bulletin with Georgie Gardner airing at the earlier time of 4.30pm today due to NRL finals.
Along with Nine News Sydney, Nine News Queensland and NBN News in Northern NSW/Gold Coast also wouldâve aired at 4.30pm today due to the NRL finals.
I think by now itâs an established fact that the earlier bulletins for the Saturday during NRL preliminary finals week has been done in the relevant markets for several years now because of the two afternoon/evening games.
And with the NRL Grand Final, itâs been aired as early as 4pm - or in one year (2008 I think), not at all because one of the lower grade Grand Finals went into extra time meaning that the news couldnât be fitted in anywhere.
Not having the best time capturing Perth content via VLC - 9 Now⌠so here is an overdue Nine News Perth montage from last night⌠Apologies for the quality. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxWaynJO8EQ
And at 4:00pm in Darwin.
The only thing that annoys me about the Perth bulletin as they donât have Finance in neither 5pm or 6pm bulletins but now have top stories.
Yuck.
Here is hoping that this week will be the last time Pete presents the news for Nine News Sydney from the current set.
