He (Brownie) is the man who’s keeping Seven News Sydney afloat in the ratings battle against Nine. If Jason Morrison hadn’t poached him in early 2016 then their ratings would still be as dire.
It’s also worth noting that while Seven News won just one week in the Sydney market last year, it was the biggest news week of the year that they won (that of the political spill, August 20-24). And they won by just 100 viewers, too.

Is that his name? Mark Ferguson calls him ‘Brownie’ and he calls Ferguson ‘Fergo’.
Jane Bunn takes no responsibility for the weather forecasts on her website and advises readers to go to BOM for the official forecasts. Her forecasts use BOM data, as do all weather forecasts in Australia.

Nice to someone from another network being shown in a good light. Doesn’t happen too often in Australian TV.
Surprised they didn’t do the Simpsons thing, and credit as Rob B., and then half through change his strap to R. Brough.

Wipe as in transition graphics between stories. An instruction for the graphics department and for Bruce to pause for the “whooosssh”.

Anything the other way round are directors notes. Anything in brackets is pronunciation.

A few issues on Nine News Queensland tonight.
A couple of stories not playing and a live cross to Renee Henry failing. All we saw was her patting herself down a tissue and fanning herself.
Also incorrect camera switching - showing Melissa while Andrew was speaking, causing her to laugh slightly.

More updates! Looks like they are updating the set slowly.
The blue works much better with red.
They just need to update the other panels now and remove that glossy outline around the city backdrop.

Looks like they’re taking money out of the petty cash to make the set look less shit.
The red LEDs and this blue backdrop are like $50 of work tops.
