I thought they might try to just cover up the “Sydney” bit… agree that the rest of it doesn’t need covering up.
Nine Live Perth from today:
except for the 4.55 weather and closer, where we did get the “Nine News Sydney” and “Nine 4pm Live” for a few minutes today.
I wouldn’t rather the presenter say: " And that’s the 4pm edition of Nine News Sydney (or, that’s Nine News Sydney at 4 for this “weekday”), our next bulletin is at 6 with Peter Overton. I’m (presenter) thanks for your company have a great evening. "
“Thanks for watching Nine’s hour of afternoon news. We’ll be back in an hour with another hour of the same stories.”
I think that has to be the most realistic post I’ve ever read on MS
Thats amazing!
Maybe 9 Live Queensland is intended to become more of a statewide bulletin later in the year when the regional versions of 9 News launch?
The 4pm bulletin would have 9 different markets to pull stories from once all the regional versions are running.
Automation errors happening in Melbourne too camera troubles when the interview finished throwing back to Alicia… and cut to an ACA promo mid bulletin.
Nine News Melbourne at 4pm:
Clashes with the set IMO. It would’ve been nicer if the set was bigger allowing more different angles and allows them to show off the set a bit more, a bit like this.
I hated all the changes they did to the set (early last year?) when they added all the dots everywhere and changed the desk.
The set looked so nice before that.
I agree. I liked the desk, Now it feels so small and cramped.
I wouldn’t call that automation errors. Clearly they allowed for an additional question, or the producers cut a question out. The sequence of those shots worked for if Alicia asked another question and then switched to the guest before going back to her. It would’ve been like this in the control room: “Oops, we’ve got too many shots programmed in! Let’s just click through them slowly to get where we’re meant to be.” They should’ve just skipped ahead.
Automation doesn’t really work very well for interviews.
On the Melbourne afternoon news, it would be nice to see a live cross between Brett and Peter when he previews the stories on the 6PM bulletin.
The new Adelaide set launches on Monday according to a promo they are running.
