Was there any actual confirmation that they are getting the EXACT set as PER/SYD/MEL?

Was a first seeing Perth getting the flagship set can’t see why Adelaide wouldn’t? Would be one hell of an upgrade!

Perth promo includes an element where letters unscramble before revealing text - makes screen caps interesting

It’d be a bit inconsistent if it wasn’t, I’d imagine all states will get the same set as Perth eventually, but if this were the case, I’d imagine it’d be a slimmer version with less features.

Sydney and Perth are nearly identical. Melbourne’s right part of the set is different to the others. All depends on how much space they have and if they use the studio for anything else.

The text formatting is all wrong - it’s far too big, inconsistent sizes used, font & the alignment.

While I can’t say for sure, I’d imagine that the new look sets in Adelaide & Brisbane will look fairly identical to their Sydney/Melbourne/Perth counterparts.

Not to mention that an older style (2008-09) Nine News logo is in use there!

If you scroll up quite a fair bit I shared an article from 9 News australias director stating that Brisbane and Adelaide were to follow Perth, Sydney and Melbourne in the new set. I assumed it was going to be revealed today but there must have been issues plus rehearsals need to occur so I would say the set will be revealed by mid week earliest or next week

This is all confusing with the new names for the news and all the new logos, what happened to the simple 9 afternoon news 9 now and 9 news?

I can understand that a new name would imply a new format, which it has. However, “Nine Afternoon News” just sounds more professional than “Nine Live at 4pm” or “Nine News at 4pm”.

‘Nine News: First at 4’ sounds good IMO. Not a fan of Nine LIVE, and I’d prefer Nine Afternoon News over the ‘LIVE brand’.

Nine live just doesn’t make any sense, since I thought that 9 news was already live anyway

Doesn’t get much better than this. Such a classy promo.

Agreed that was a fantastic promo, but I feel they could have delved deeper into “Queensland is a big state” by showing more reporters around different locations in Queensland.

But I think Nine has fallen off the promo bandwagon in recent times, I don’t think that Nine News in general have really done high quality promos for the last several years now.

This was a great promo for Queensland (or at least I thought it was pretty decent)

As seen here (Thanks @SEQTelevision ):

TBH, Davina could at least say. " Sydney that is your only live and local Afternoon News. Join Peter Overton for your number 1 news-hit at 6.00…". I know that Darwin receives the bulletin but if they were that important they would have their own edition. As for the local news, well it is 9 Afternoon News Sydney.

Sound terrible and most of that is really unnecessary. What she said was fine. Sure it is a Sydney bulletin but Sydneysiders aren’t the only ones to receive the bulletin - Beryl from Palmerston won’t even see Pete at 6.

I agree with this, do what TVW & STW did (Seven still does, maybe), 4.30PM - WA news, 6PM - Perth news.

9 Live would work better with a statewide bulletin as they can cram more stories in with the old “tune in at 6 for the full details.”

And of course, there are about two million or so people in Regional NSW who get either Vanessa O’Hanlon or Paul Lobb & Natasha Beyersdorf rather than Peter Overton at 6pm!

Did anyone in Southern NSW see if there was a coverup of the “Sydney” in the news bug of the 4pm bulletin?

NBN had their usual full size bug covering everything up in the bottom right corner.

I Don’t think SCA would bother with a coverup for Southern NSW… knowing that its all Nine branding down there.
