9 LIVE Adelaide is using the small plasma screen this afternoon, the same one used over the weekend, given that the old set has been deconstructed.
Not sure if the new set is launching tonight or they are going to begin building/assembling it from today.

Now that Nine have statewide brand, this would have been a good opportunity to try naming the Melbourne bulletin âVictoriaâ IMO just as the Brisbane one is labelled Queensland.

So the bulletin is Nine Afternoon News in Sydney & Melbourne and Nine Live across other states?

Iâm fairly disappointed (but at the same time, not overly surprised) that âNine News Sydney at 4pmâ is still very much formatted and presented in the same way as the national Afternoon News was.
*Most of the stories in todayâs bulletin wouldnât have been too out of place on a standard edition of Nineâs Afternoon News.
*The On-Air Presentation is also fairly generic. No Sydney backdrop for the main Opening Titlecard? Fail!
*Ideally the preview for the 6pm bulletin should be the 4pm presenter doing a brief chat with 6pm presenter, but obviously they canât do that because of Darwin, NBN and the Southern NSW/ACT regional bulletins.
*During the weather, Sydney got about the same mention as any other national news bulletin weather segment.
A teaser for the full forecast during the 6pm bulletin (eg, âEnjoy this lovely Autumn weather because Sydneyâs first major cold snap of the season is on the way. Weâll tell you when it will hit and how long it will last tonight at 6 Oâclockâ) probably wouldnât be a bad idea either.
There are probably more ways that Nine can properly put the âSydneyâ into âNine News Sydney at 4pmâ but those are just the ideas that come to mind right now.

Yes. Itâs been 9 LIVE in Perth/Adelaide/Queensland (Bris) for a few months now
The change over between 9 NEWS NOW and 9 LIVE in these areas hasnât always been smooth, notably the rushed last few minutes of The Chat Room and stories that are shown as âcoming up nextâ on 9 NEWS NOW but not seen in the local NEWS programming at 4PM
I donât know about other regions but 9 LIVE Adelaide is much the same, to be honest 9 could probably get away with an NBN style of news at 4PM

Bloody love that backdrop. Looks very clean and polished. Iâd be surprised if Seven donât try and mix theirs up and change their one!

Although I hate the bulletin, Seven Afternoon News for Queensland is pretty nicely formatted which includes interview with reporters/specialists and a preview to the 6pm News. However, from what I gather, Nine Live Perth and Melbourneâs Afternoon News do these extended interviews at the desk. Shame Sydneyâs only local Afternoon News is so poorly thought out.
