Some context please? SFX for what exactly?
The Transition Sound Effects, which are accompanied by a graphic.
If I’m not mistaken, Nine News Queensland was still using the old 2009-12 graphics era “smash” transition SFX up until recently.
Used at the start of this clip:
Jo Hall has posted on her Instagram story a video showing the top of the news set and the placement of the Footy Classified set in the studio. As predicted, Footy Classified appears to now be using the space previously occupied by the old news set.

Nine Live Perth Opener:
Why is Nine News Sydney still highlighting Wollongong weather, including showing a still image of storms rolling in, when they now have a dedicated Illawarra bulletin?
IIRC, you can receive the VHF signal from Illawarra.
As we should know by now, the statewide forecasts as part of the weather segments on metro news bulletins (something only introduced on Seven and Nine Sydney fairly recently, I might add) are mainly there for the benefit of city viewers who might have plans to travel to regional areas of the state.
Nine have been doing this for at least the last 3 years or so…?
Yeah, since about 2013 or 2014 if my memory serves me correctly.
And Brownie is the one who brought them to Seven in Sydney in Jan 2016.

Queensland is receiving the national Afternoon News live this afternoon.
Big problems on Nine Sydney tonight. Went to a live cross with a reporter who had to audio from London and then they scrapped the other two crosses they teased.
Thanks @SEQTelevision
Of all the news days for this to happen on…
Nine News Sydney really needs to bring back manual studio control…or whatever you call “non-automated” studio control with actual camera/floor control people and the like. And ASAP!
Completely agree, in fact I am surprised they have perserved this far. And in the last few months, Nine News Sydney has been losing ground at 6.30pm whereas previously they would lose at 6 then gain ground at 6.30 which now says why Nine News Sydney isn’t performing as well as it is, is because of the bulletin itself and now to a lesser of a extent the lead-in.
Of course there’s probably also a non-automation related reason for Nine News Sydney losing ratings ground at 6.30pm, but let’s not get started on that again!
