Strange.

Why? The Storm are playing in the Prelim, why can’t the best team on the comp be on the main channel @TBoy ?

Victoria is not an NRL state.

By the same standing, surely there should never be AFL on the main channel in NSW/QLD @TBoy ?

Looks like Nine may consider scheduling Sydney & Brisbane for September 25 to allow the Possibility of avoiding a Clash with the AFL Grand Final:

4:00 NRL Preliminary Final Pre-Show
5:00 NRL Preliminary Final
7:00 Nine News (Post Match shown on 9Gem)
7:30 Space Invaders (EPS 8 & 9, which did’nt air in those Cities above because of the Super Rugby Grand Final)
9:30 Saturday Night Movie

Neither is South Australia and Tasmania, But I do mind The Preliminary Final clashing with the AFL Grand Final at the same time.

NRL will be in opposition to the AFL Grand Final.

Strange that this first run edition can’t be show straight after the NRL.

Looks like great ratings opportunity for the show :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Personally, I wonder what sort of audience would be watching ACA at 1.30am. Car hoons hoping to see themselves on TV (via one of their typical reports) after a big night out?! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

ACA is repeated every night post midnight. My point in this instance was that this is not a repeat in NRL states because it wasn’t shown at 7pm.

Looks like a suitable timeslot for it.

Melbourne Storm in a Preliminary Final on 9Gem against the AFL Grand Final? Will get maybe 10k max.

The NRL has moved this game to 4pm now. I’m assuming it will air on the main channel in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne leading into the 6pm News.

Melbourne now getting the full NRL package later this week.

Just before the announcement of the change to Saturday 25th line-up, Nine also moved that game to the main channel in Melbourne. An update on that hasn’t been received.

A post was merged into an existing topic: Nine Network 2022

Quiz tells the story of Charles Ingram, a former British army major, who caused a major scandal after being caught cheating his way to winning £1 million on the game show ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?’

This drama aired on ITV (I think) in the UK the first half of last year and from memory it rated through the roof. Will be interesting to see what kind of reception it receives in Australia.

In April 2003, Nine aired the special Who Wants to Steal a Million in place of a regular episode during the two-week non-ratings Easter period; it scored audiences of over 500,000 in Sydney and Melbourne.

There was a similar controversy in late-2005 when Martin Flood was accused of cheating on his way to the million but he was ultimately cleared by Channel Nine.
