Nine Network - Programs and Schedules

At least there’s some depth in the schedule, if the viewers can wait for that long that is.

They’re scheduled to be that long. When you add in the “regular overruns”, Ninja Warrior will go even longer. lol.

Nine are really trying to kill Ninja Warrior. How can they think viewers can/would be willing to sit through at least 8 and 1/2 hours (factoring in over-runs) of the same show across 4 nights??

With Sydney in lockdown, Guardians of the Galaxy did over 100k metro there on the Saturday just gone, which I think won its timeslot (finishing after 10pm), certainly once Attenborough finished at 8:40pm.
Nine’s premiere movie was outside the Top 20, so maybe they think similar might occur if this airs this weekend, instead going for a bigger/better title?

Also, with the lockdown and AFL usually not as strong as other timeslots (with often lesser games and split games/schedules), there’s a chance for Sydney to have more of an impact on Saturday ratings the next couple of weeks.

This is from the same documentary collection The Weekly: Special Edition as Framing Britney Spears, from Red Arrows Studios International, which made the 8-part series with The New York Times.

Regarding the first few sentences of this post in regards to Hot Seat listed as 4pm and Afternoon News listed as 5pm for Sydney, could this be anything to read in to? Or is it probably an error?

Sounds like Adelaide scheduling.

Publicity team at Nine didn’t get the memo, by the looks of it. lol.

Am puzzled why Nine (and other channels) don’t air new movies… even on the dreaded Saturday night slot. Instead of playing repeated movies… No wonder people are giving up on fta. Sadly.

Did they loss the Universal contract on the first of July?

movies are from the Universal stable.

Nine Adelaide will be looking for a new Sunday night lead in show from 2022, with Cosi moving over to Seven Adelaide.

It has been huge winner for nine, which has got there news in a winning position for a Sunday night.

Seven must be clapping their hand in glee

Maybe Nine might revive SA Life/Weekender.

Cosi’s ratings is partly due to its consistent timeslot (5.30pm every Sunday). I doubt Seven can promise this due to AFL scheduling. If Crows or Power are scheduled in the twilight timeslot, will Seven move the footy to 7mate at 5.30pm just for Cosi?

Truth be told, in WA, I’d move 60 Minutes to 8.50 Tuesday. Allow Late News and Wimbledon to run an hour earlier on Nine. Replace the Kath repeats with Weakest Link for the one day.

UK game show Pointless running weekdays 12pm on Nine from Monday in place of Ellen. I believe it previously aired locally on ABC?

Are Nine giving up on Ellen? Maybe low ratings?

I think the show goes on summer break after this week. Probably just trialling some content for when she does leave for good this time next year.
