Delta Goodrem sparkles in an of evening of wonderful Christmas cheer
Christmas with Delta Goodrem is back for another magical night of festive glee, this time from Sydney’s famous Luna Park on Channel 9 and 9Now.
Delta, Australia’s sweetheart, welcomes a stellar lineup of Australian and international stars including Andrea Bocelli, Natalie Imbruglia, Cody Simpson, Sheppard and a mesmerising performance of Silent Night with Mitch Tambo on didgeridoo and Paul Kelly who also sings his own Christmas classic, How To Make Gravy.
Delta will also duet with Take That lead singer Gary Barlow and British R&B crooner Craig David.
The star of Hamilton, Jason Arrow, takes leave from the musical theatre stage to join Delta for a rendition of One Little Christmas Tree exclusively arranged for the special by the Hamilton team in New York.
The world’s greatest tenor, Andrea Bocelli, joins Delta for a showstopping finale as the two extraordinary voices combine for a haunting version of Amazing Grace.
Christmas with Delta Goodrem will also feature the soulful sounds of the Melbourne Gospel Choir and virtuoso guitarist Harts.
Courtesy of Tourism Australia and Santa’s little helpers, Hamish and Zoe Blake, Christmas with Delta Goodrem will give the gift of travel too, reuniting deserving Aussies separated from loved ones due to border restrictions. We’ll see heartwarming reunions as families are surprised with holidays to Australia’s most beautiful destinations.
Delta said:

An incredible night performing favourite Christmas classics and delivering heartwarming surprises to Aussie families. It really is a show I’m proud of for the whole family to enjoy.”

MICHAEL BUBLÉ BRINGS CHRISTMAS CHEER TO AUSTRALIA IN A GLITTERING SPECIAL
CAMILA CABELLO, JIMMY FALLON, KERMIT THE FROG, LEON BRIDGES AND HANNAH WADDINGHAM HEADLINE STAR-STUDDED LINEUP
Multi-Grammy Award winner Michael Bublé will host a night of comedy, music and Christmas spirit in Michael Bublé’s Christmas in the City, a glittering special premiering Wednesday, December 22, at 7.30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
Bublé will be joined at Studio 8H in New York’s Rockefeller Center by Leon Bridges, Camila Cabello, Jimmy Fallon, Kermit the Frog and Hannah Waddingham for a series of special performances and comedy sketches.
To celebrate the 10ᵗʰ anniversary of his chart-topping holiday season album Christmas, a 48-piece orchestra will bring to life renditions of Bublé’s best known Christmas tracks.
“I’m especially excited about this year’s show and our phenomenal guests,” Bublé said. “It will be a night to remember, and I can’t wait to celebrate with everyone.”
Bublé recently rereleased his Christmas album, which has remained a global chart-topper for a decade, adding seven tracks on a bonus CD, including two newly recorded songs: The Christmas Sweater, a winter wonderland duet with Rod Stewart, and a new version of Let It Snow! with the BBC’s Big Band Orchestra.
Michael Bublé’s Christmas in the City is produced by Lorne Michaels, Bublé, Bruce Allen and Erin Doyle.
Wondering if Nine will repeat old Hamish & Andy’s Gap Year episodes during the non-ratings period again.
Last year, they aired all of Europe (including the London 2012 tie-in special) and all but the final episode of Asia across six Thursdays. These were never repeated beyond their original broadcast on Nine and immediate “catch-up” repeat on GO!
I assume that this means that she is contracted with Nine until December 31, and that this “Light Up Xmas Appeal” show may her last appearance for Nine.
The various news articles state that she had already quit Nine and is starting at Sky News Australia in January. I guess none of them knew of this Appeal (as she has already left her role on Sydney’s Nine News Sports presenter)
