Nine Network - Programs and Schedules

It was removed from Nine’s schedule the last week of June; suggested as a money saving exercise.

Replaced by an encore of A Current Affair and Ellen on Tuesday to Saturday mornings. I was surprised they don’t air 20/20 on Sunday morning at 6am and an encore of 60 Minutes at 4am on Monday morning OR if 20/20 has been dropped then maybe another 60 Minutes encore on Sunday morning at 6am if its all about cost cutting

You mean the Footy Show as in the AFL Footy Show?

Yes. In Sydney and Brisbane, the AFL Version always airs after the NRL version. I assume it is also the Grand Final edition too.

Knowing the ratings both versions of the program have recieved this year, it might be the Grand Final edition in more ways than one?

I don’t understand why nine just don’t air The Footy show at 7:30 and get a head start on The Front Bar.

dont we in victoria get a double episode of doctor doctor tomorrow night???

The AFL Footy Show Grand Final edition will start at 7.30pm. It is mentioned in an ad in today’s Sunday Herald Sun for a reader competition to win tickets to the event.

But they should have been doing that all year as well.

Obviously the NRL version of the show couldn’t do this all year round due to Thursday night games but I personally think they’d also greatly benefit from a 7.30pm start for the Grand Final edition, particularly if Nine wants ratings high enough to (by some miracle) justify a renewal of the show for 2019.

Yeah I understood why they couldn’t for the NRL edition but the AFL edition clearly could have. Seven wouldn’t be able to put Front Bar earlier due to Home and Away. I think it was a missed opportunity.

Jessica Marais has quit upcoming Nine drama Bad Mothers and is taking a break from acting for the rest of 2018.

Small tidbit

Nine has been showing new episodes of Kevin Can Wait in random slots such as weekdays at 1:30pm. About 6 episodes of the new season have already aired.

Says a lot about their intentions for the show, when a movie otherwise runs there.
