Being honest, underwhelming is probably being super nice. The whole lineup for next year (so far) is rubbish.
Fancy Nine going for a dying if not dead franchise from 10 with a host from Seven. Lmao.
The Floor sounds alright but surely they’re not going to strip it into 3 days a week? It’s a once a week show.
Passing off Kiwi-based and produced dramas as ‘local’. Well what can you say? Nine’s put all their drama eggs into the Stan basket and left dregs (if you call it that) for the main channel.
Fair to say if it wasn’t for Nine News and the sports, Nine would be up schitt’s creek. Nothing really innovative or exciting.
Nine is playing it safe with this line-up. Two Kiwi dramas, a new game show, a new reality show (taking custodianship of The Bachelor franchise in Australia), the rest are returning programs.
Granted they don’t have to try that hard with solid news and sport backed up by the two biggest shows on Australian TV in MAFS and the block, that don’t seem like they are slowing down.
But this feels like they aren’t even trying.
Well, we can all shut up about new NBN Northern NSW (Central Coast, Tamworth and Coffs Harbour) and 9 Darwin streams on 9Now for another year. I was expecting these new streams to be announced given that they launched NBN Newcastle, NBN Northern Rivers and 9 Gold Coast on 9Now last year. Wonder if the folks at Nine have been reading MS?
This might be a little cynical on my part, but what are 10 missing out on with the Sydney to Hobart
Unless you’re really passionate about boating, it doesn’t seem like the thing many people tune into watch and even then what is there to watch of it …. There’s the starting line on Boxing Day and maybe 5 days later the winner arrives in Hobart.
Seven will present its 2025 showcase at a “reimagined” Upfront event to advertisers, media buyers and press in the week of November 11 at its Eveleigh headquarters, with a media session on Wednesday 13 November.
