Nine Cricket Coverage

They’ve been the ICC’s official graphics since the 2019 ODI World Cup (with slight variations since then). They look pretty good, certainly when compared to the 2015 graphics.

The graphics for the 2015 Men’s ODI World Cup was a shocker

I believe (as far as the ICC are concerned), Fox Sports hold the Australian rights

I would also think FOX are producing the world broadcast feed for the ICC, using ICC graphics and commentators.

No, the ICC have outsourced all of their tournament production to Sunset+Vine

ICC didn’t actually sell the rights directly to fox. I’m of the understanding that whoever got the Indian rights on sells o behalf of the ICC. It really is a mess.

It’s a complicated arrangement - ICC retains the production of the broadcasts and has awarded global distribution rights to Star Sports and it’s a combination of ICC and Star that award the rights in markets outside of India.

The value of the Indian rights alone is significantly more than the rights of the rest of the world combined.

I wish the ICC tournament TV rights are distributed like the FIFA World Cup and the Olympics, that means local broadcasters can provide their own commentary where needed, and use the world feed for matches between minnows.

While you’ve got a situation where one market is basically dictating the size of the deal on the scale that India does on the ICC rights, you’re not realistically going to see anything different. Its simpler for the ICC to hand over the rights for everything and outsource the responsibility.

It’s quite possible that we’re going to see more of these kinds of deals in the future too, maybe not on this scale though - Discovery already hold pan-European rights for the Olympics and retain/on-sell in each individual market.
