I wish they made a studio like Apple TV+ The morning show. It would make it a fresh look and have both a desk and a soft area

I agree, it’ll be a shame if they copy Breakfast too much as I’ve always enjoyed the AM format being a faster pace, less frills to your typical morning show

Interesting of them to announce already that there will be a hosting line-up change next year after just appointing Ryan to the host role, I guess they wanted to get a front foot of the news and go early with it.
Will be very interesting to see how the show looks next year, both with the host-line up, show format as well as set & graphics and whether the partnership with MediaWorks to simulcast the show on Magic Talk will continue.

I’d like to see a GMA type hosting arrangement, in which there’s no dedicated “host” per se.

Sarah Bristow does tend to go for a full relaunch when one resigns. Such as with Paul Henry, Ingrid and Jim were down the road too.

If they more or less stick to the format I would like to see Oriini Kaipara and Chris Chang join Ryan, now that would be an awesome team

Laura has been great filling in on The Project so when Kanoa returns she would be a good choice, but I believe she is pregnant so they’d need to make allowances for that if she was chosen for a role in the new look program.
Oriini would be a good option also and seeing a Maori woman with a Moko as part of a breakfast TV show would be great.

Given Discovery have assets in Europe and all the hosts declare the hours are a drag, why not host/produce the show from the other side of the planet? The NZ studio could be used to do a reciprocal broadcast for Norway or Denmark. Rotate the hosts like they do with foreign correspondents and Bob’s your uncle. A slightly mad idea, but we do have the internet now, after all.

I would expect a full relaunch of Discovery’s News, AM, Late, Weekend, Graphics and Presentation with updated theme and On Air imagery of the network, long overdue.

I think graphic updates and minor changes to their sets is really all thats needed imo. The AM show fully needs a makeover in terms of graphics and set, it looks tacky now

Well the vertical monitor behind Mark thsi morning wasn’t working and in the 6am opener the floor crew were seen fitting the backup panel.
Poland I think but I heard a law change meant they had to pull out of the region.

The new entity is called Warner Bros. Discovery. - I wonder if that will include a name change for the New Zealand business too?
