For me though the most interesting part was Sam Hayes presenting on Saturday instead of finding one of their other female anchors.

Nah that’s not it and I’m female by the way lol Just thought in this day and age if two males fronted the 6pm news, it wouldn’t go down well. For what it’s worth I am over the moon that three has made this move, it may not have ever happened on 1news but it has in their other programming, I.e. breakfast and seven sharp

I don’t think a lot of people would care if two males presented. Just like a lot of people won’t care that two females did. If Sam Hayes hadn’t tweeted about it, I don’t think any fuss would have been made at all
