I wonder if Mike has been assignment for TV3 putting something together for the final show?
More reunions this morning on AM as original hosts of Firstline (2011-2015), Rachel Smalley and sports presenter Sam Ackerman appeared in studio.
Amanda Gillies also newsreader this morning with 3 days to go.
Geez that riser and couch needed to be scaled a bit, looks tight and crowded with 4 people like that.
Suppose it doesn’t matter now, wonder what will happen with all of those set pieces etc?
Also wonder if Bernadine Oliver-Kerby will make an appearance for the last episode, if she is well enough.
How many Breakfast Shows have there been?

May be more but that is the ones I know
Fascinating recounts of the Mark Weldon era in this video.
Weldon … honest and unlikeable. His points about the rest of the MW business suffering at the fault of 3News is something many MW staffers - especially in the radio division - can agree on.
Paddy Gower on his time at Newshub

His comment about 3 News being an organ of the Labour Party was a bit much. He was very defensive about his record, a lot of invective in that statement. But like you say, at least he was honest. Did you work for MW during that time? Sounds like you did…
Yup. and Newshub brand and Paul Henry show proved successful
Side note, reaction to cutting popular news shows as new TVNZ CEO Jodi O’Donnell is doing feels very different to the Weldon era…
Saw a short thanks to Mike McRoberts video on last night too. Mostly file-footage, some in deadly places, doing his journalism thing.
Patrick Gower, Tova O’Brien (now with Stuff), and Jenna Lynch joining AM this morning. All 3 are former political editors.
Tomorrow marks the end of an era of Newshub, which started in 1989 at the heart of the Flower Street studios, which built TV3 at the beginning.
From 3 National News, 3 News, and Newshub; they have been keeping into the know with their news source with loyalty and we want to thank all of their hard work providing for the last 35 years.
No affiliation but it was widely reported for years the battle between MediaWorks TV and Radio, and the impact keeping TV afloat had on radio staff.
Radio staff could also be asking why it has taken so long to sell the TV business and whether it should have been closed down by now.
The company has long wanted to try melding the two arms together, says a source familiar with MediaWorks. After all, while TV has the profile, radio has the cashflow … radio is being used to boost the profile of a TV brand, not the other way around.
The highly successful radio business has had little investment as the broadcaster focused desperately on shoring up its underperforming television networks, Three and Four (Bravo).
Newshub has posted Samantha Hayes’ first ever 3 News story, interviewing Megadeth when she was 17 as a intern.
It was always portrayed that way but ever since TV was sold off Mediaworks financial records haven’t been too positive.
