I assumed Carly would have just presented the 8pm as well as the late news but its good to see it will be a dedicated host. Be interested to see who gets it, anyone have any ideas as to who could potentially be seen on it

Laura’s last night filling on on The Project was yesterday.
Carly’s only contracted until December. No guarantees she will be the permanent host next year.

Wonder why they let Wilhelmina and Sacha go and then advertise for new roles? Anyway, 8pm presenter sounds like a nice gig - if it’s done well it could be a pretty cool hybrid news / current affairs slot.

Didnt know that. Well hopefully they keep her around or she goes for the 8pm role, shes a natural and a waste of talent if they dont use her more. Hoping next year we will see her fill in more on newshub at 6pm when Sams away. I know traditionally that the weekend anchors are the back up and it will Laura, but Carly and Oriini are a way to keep it fresh
