Discovery (which owns Newshub in New Zealand) is merging with WarnerMedia, and it’s now announced a new name for the combined company: Warner Bros. Discovery. CNN is currently owned by AT&T (which is part of WarnerMedia), as does HBO and Warner Bros.

Does anyone think it’s a bit odd that the presenter is not looking at the live cross? I am a 1 News watcher so to me it does not look right

I think the cap I took was right before she turned to look at the guest.

Its an awkward angle for them to turn at look at that screen anyways…always find it odd when they use that screen, wish they would stand at it

The screen on the other side of the desk looks a bit more comfortable for the presenters to look at but they don’t seem to use it much

Was that pre-recorded? Usually the backdrop inbetween the screens is red for Newshub Late

From what I saw, Ryan Bridge took the chance to take potshots at the govt. Simon Shepherd much better.
Bridge is much better suited to talkback radio, not of the polished newsreader status for television.

Aziz not staying with Newshub / AM into 2022 his last day will be 10th December which is also the last The AM Show.
