“The ABC” in scare quotes is the most bizarre style guide decision I’ve seen.

Award-winning journalist Perry Williams has been named The Australian’s new business editor, as the national newspaper makes a number of major appointments to bolster its news coverage and peerless analysis at home and abroad.

Multi award-winner Cameron Stewart has been appointed The Australian’s chief international correspondent to lead the paper’s coverage and analysis of international news.

Far out someone has some real anger issues at news.com.au today.

This story has been posted at least 3 times just this afternoon with 3 different headlines.

First it was earlier with something inflammatory about Boomers benefiting multiple times because of the rate rises. Then it went up again later in the afternoon with “Proof that young homeowners are officially screwed” and now this one.

Just to save people the trouble - there was no evidence in the first story about Boomers benefiting multiple times from the rises. The only thing it did say was something that was extremely obvious, people who have purchased homes in the last couple of years are more susceptible to the interest rate rises than those who purchased a bit longer ago and those who have have paid off or have lower mortgages (the boomers as they call them) aren’t hit as hard… Surely that was all pretty obvious stuff.

Annette Sharp just proving how vile she is…again. She speculates that high profile women celebrities can’t have a career and make a marriage work. Yet, fails to mention an equal number of male celebrities (or maybe more) who have had marriages break down.

Why love is the price our celebrity women pay for their status
Carrie Bickmore, Jackie “O” Henderson, Leigh Sales and Sarah Harris are all huge media identities in their own rights. They all, also, leave a trail of broken marriages in their wake. Why can’t our female celebrities have it all, asks Annette Sharp.

Who is she to care about this? This is all none of her friggin business.
