Most importantly, Lisa can do “other projects”.
I’m not sure how replacing Lisa with someone who works fewer days than her helps? Lisa is on holidays at the moment, after working most of December.
They just need some leadership to say ‘this is your job, and you need to be here to do it’

The ABC offers their Breakfast presenters (Lisa and Tony) opportunities to pursue other presenting opportunities with the broadcaster. If they had such as problem with it, I doubt they’d be offered in the first place.
The way it is is talked about is that these presenters are just willy nilly doing whatever they want and management just allow it. I’m sure there are discussions and meetings about availability, holidays etc.
I don’t disagree that there should be a bit more stability with the presenting roster, but simply saying they (assuming Lisa was inferred above) need to be there ain’t it.

Friday (26.01.2024):
Bridget Brennan is live from Sydney for the Wugulora Morning Ceremony. Michael hosting solo in studio and Emma Rebellato doing sport. No dedicated newsreader.
As above, the show started at 0530 for Townsville cyclone coverage and is live into Queensland on both channels. The show will also break on the main channel for half an hour to take the Canberra Welcome ceremony at 0800.
Emma Rebellato will be presenting weather for the next two weeks.

Wednesday (07.02.2024): Emma Rebellato is co-hosting with Michael this morning, as Lisa is doing media for Muster Dogs. Stephanie Ferrier on weather.
