Sounds like a roster to me. This is exactly what happens in a lot workplaces which have job sharing. A few of my relatives and friends job shared while their kids were growing up.
One still does it now, even though her kids are old enough to look after themselves. She has chosen to work Mon-Wed and job shares with someone who does Thu-Fri.
SO FAR I think they’ve done a much better job at keeping it within the ‘family’ this year. I’d rather this than one Canberra reporter who is quite green at presenting covering a full three weeks, which is what they usually do.

The ratings for News Breakfast didn’t improve as the year progressed. Not a single week averaged higher than the lowest week of 2022. Compared to 2022, all breakfast shows were down YoY. But, NB was down nearly 40k YoY… more than three times that of the commercials! This put NB at its lowest 5CM result since 2016, according to The Australian, and nearly 40k behind Today. In 2022, when NB even had a few weeks in second place, this gap was less than 20k. The last time NB beat Today on a single weekday was back in January. Hard to find some positives this year.
