Funny moment on this morning’s program, with Shaun Micallef on for the Logies. He was asked by Fauziah “if you know who we are”. Shaun replied, “you’re (Kathryn) from Channel 10 and you’re (Fauziah) from Twitter”.

World Cup fever swept them up on Wednesday morning, maybe a bit too much. I was surprised by the green and yellow balloons that decorated the set in the opener. But, a later segment was even more shocking. The presenters were waltzing…. because waltzing Matilda(s). Joining them for this waltz was a “waltz of Matilidas”- kids, dogs and rabbits who they invited down because they were named Matilda. Seriously. I mean that kind of stuff even seems a bit too far fetched for The Morning Show!

I think the difference is that fun and chemistry is part of the commercial morning shows, but always very forced and fake when News Breakfast tries it.
