Correct.

Yeah, they had a main game via BeIN with their studio coverage with a selection of other live games on the other Sky Sport channels

Noticed something weird on the Three Plus+1 channel… The “Plus+1” logo is on the bottom right and the normal “Three” logo on the top right by the time I’m texting this.

Maybe it was affected from its Wimbledon coverage and still they haven’t changed it back to its normal place.

Tokyo Olympics coverage that prompted TVNZ to move Coronation Street and Emmerdale to TVNZ 2 rather taking a transmission break to ensure to stay a week behind UK

Have you been paying attention airing on Fridays from tonight. Possibly an attempt to find an audience on Friday like 7days did before it faces the axe?

TVNZ has signed a multi year deal with NBC Universal to provide content for its channels and ondemand platform. Quite surprised TVNZ managed to secure this deal considering the intense competition for content.

One less streamer to launch here - I wonder if we’ll see a similar deal with Paramount?

Considering the current landscape, that’s one heck of a deal for TVNZ to lock up. It’s just the boost TVNZ On Demand needed as it’s about to go up against a rejuvenated Three VOD offering through Discovery+

I was thinking that maybe a possibility but indications are that it will launch as a stand alone service. Who knows maybe HBOMax content will end up on Neon.

Yes the streamer was looking abit baron and needed content to plug a few holes. Hopefully this will keep the service afloat amid all the competition.

Does anyone know how long the deal the former Mediaworks TV and NBCUni had when they started Bravo? Could we see a switch for that too in the future?

Edit, Never mind, I looked back to 2016 and realised it’s a Joint Venture. Interesting though NBCU didn’t do a deal with Disco to put those programmes on +HR=E Now… ahead of Disco+

Is TVNZ still doing a subscription service? Any chance any content will be paid-service exclusive? They’re going to need to pay for all of this content somehow

There may be a switch in the future - rebranding from Bravo to ThreeXtra as a general entertainment channel in the style of FOUR; it targets all people aged 18-49. What do you think?

I think it’s unlikely, it would necessitate the withdrawal of NBCU from the Joint-venture, and even then, I’d imagine Disco would more likely shift Choice to LCN 4 and put Choice+1 on 12, rather than launch any new FTA channels… but you never know.

There are some major NBC productions being filmed in New Zealand at the moment, so it will be good if they air on TVNZ On Demand too.

And what about LCN 9?

Alright; Choice +1 on 9, HGTV to 12 and HGTV+1 on 17.

But it’s all speculative and should probably be in another thread :slightly_smiling_face:

There are a few changes to Māori Television’s news output with the morning show Te Ao Tapatahi moving to weekdays at noon from tommorow and the nightly Te Ao Mārama news programme shortened to 30mins at 6.30. Not sure if this change is permanent or the move is because of the school holidays with the morning show moving to midday to allow for more kids programming. It’s been great to have an Indigenous morning news show to balance out the two commercial breakfast shows. Māori TV does have a habit of chopping and changing its Nightly news output over the years from a 7 nights a week news service to a weeknights only with highlights on Sundays.
