Oh god, If Laura Daniel it is instant switch off for me. Killed off Jono and Ben
The Cabinet will make itâs decision on merger of Television New Zealand & Radio New Zealand on Monday to create a Public Broadcast Service, like the BBC, back to NZBC in the 21st century. Also Mediaworks TV should be finalising itâs sale prospects.

Sky NZ pay tv channel announced this morning that they have entered into an agreement to purchase Spark owned steaming network Lightbox which will be intergrated into its own streaming network Neon.
In other Sky News.
Sky Sports News is moving to 6:30pm and moving the crowd goes wild.
Yet their news is on at 5.30? Whatâs on at 6?
Pawn Stars, or sometimes highlights of sport, depending if anythingâs on.
Jeez thatâs dire. They canât air the news at 6 or 6.30?
Too much competition, TVNZ1 is a bit of a news juggernaut.
What about at 7? After the two sports shows?
7pm they have the Crowd Goes Wild, and thatâs not changing, although thereâs plenty of competition at that slot too, but sport seems to be a point of difference SKY/Prime can and do do pretty well.
Wouldnât happen. Newshub produces it and wouldnât allow it airing against its own product.
Iâd just air the Sports news 6-6:30 live and rerun it 6:30-7 or do another live bulletin.
Also, it was announced yesterday that Bernadine Oliver-Kerby is leaving radio (Coast Breakfast) to join the Sky Sport crew on a full-time basis. âA mix of presenting key news and events and talent development in the Sky Sport stableâ.

If theyâre serious about Sky Sport News @6.30pm surely Bernie fronting it would be a good move?
Edit to add, interestingly in the press release Kate King or Goran Paladin donât get a mention (yet Crowd Goes Wild presenters doâŚ)
I thought âhead-to-headâ meant the things are competing against each other? Should be âback-to-backâ shouldnât it?
I think they mean head to head with the traditional sports news on 1 and Newshub, which starts at 6:40-ish. But itâs not overly clear.
Not a fan of the the new sky movies logos
Just noticed that House Rules Au has jumped from Three to TVNZ Ondemand: https://www.tvnz.co.nz/shows/house-rules/episodes/s7-e1 I wonder if this signals TVNZ re-entering the home renovation market and launching a local version to counter The Block NZ juggernaut.
Interesting switch. It would explain why Three have opted to screen The Block Australia across 7:30pm primetime this summer. Usually House Rules would occupy this slot.
So thatâs what was missing from the Three schedule this summer. They always play House Rules over summer. This should align well with TVNZ having MKR as well but TVNZ will be left behind come February with MAFS launches on Three.
So have they scrapped their breakfast & midday shows completely?
