They’ve completely redone the back end (in order for the FIFA subs later in the year). Unfortunately the new app seems prone to crashing/not working.

Heads up TVNZ 1 is having a eventful week in a few weeks, with Britain’s Got Talent moving back to TVNZ 1 after 3 years on TVNZ 2 in it’s old Saturday night slot after 1 News where the network previously aired in the late 2010s. KSI will replace Bruno Tonioli this year, also 8 May TVNZ 1 will air David Attenborough’s Attenborough’s Wild London to commentate his 100th birthday. Finally the FIFA World Cup 2026 Preview Series aired on Thursday at 11.00pm Thursday and will continue on Friday.

Game of 2 Halves, in a new hour-long format, starts next week. It will screen on Sky Sport 1 next Thursday (30 April) at 8.30pm and then on Three the following evening, i.e. Fridays at 8.30pm (just before an encore screening of 7 Days).

Do you know if it’s stable yet? Anyone out there updated their Bravia?
I’ve been putting off upgrading the Living Room TV until I know it’s actually going to work. Ditched Maori+ because it was slow and required constant re-logging on. Not willing to have to bin TVNZ+ too if I don’t have to!

Update: The sneaky telly updated itself. Seems to work just fine. New (linear) layout is a bit annoying, you have to do an awful lot of scrolling. The gap between the ads and programmes is quicker, more seamless. I guess the issues are only with some LG, Samsung and Apple TV users?

3 News on Monday is listed for an hour, not the usual 30 mins for a public holiday. Guess they want the lead-in for Hot Seat.

ThreeNews is now 30 mins tonight with Bondi rescue on at 6:30. Possibly a mistake in the schedule or last minute change

Not that interesting - when they’ve flagged FIFA World Cup is subscription based and they’ve said the upgrades were to allow this.
