That’s great that the Kiwis are getting behind Delta, albeit 10.40pm two days late.

I’ll never forget the Logies where Eddie McGuire was hosting and he kept on referring to her as ‘Deltra’.

TVNZ has always shown Christmas with Delta at or just before Christmas Eve (last year it was 12.25pm on Sunday December 24), apart from the first year in 2020 when it aired at lunchtime on Christmas Day.

That’s good info. Thank you.

TVNZ+ has finally launched three FAST Channels albeit underwhelming with Bloomberg+, Bloomberg Originals and FIFA+.

It’s actually a pseudo-pseudo cameo.

They could definately do Country Calendar and Shortland Street retro channels etc. Such a big back catalogue of content to tap

Fingers crossed that announcement is imminent but I’m not holding my breath tbh. TVNZ has said it’s focusing on the two pillars, news and sport which may suggest a 1News FAST channel similar to CNN FAST.

What Now FAST Channel? Fair Go FAST Channel? Praise Be FAST Channel?

Can’t wait until WBD announces the Melody Rules FAST Channel!

With the amount they are promoting the news tab on TVNZ+, i can definitely see a 1News fast channel where they play long form interviews

Whakaata Māori’s weekly news bulletin, Te Ao Māori News will come to an end today after 20 years as the indigenous broadcaster shifts their focus to digital, but the news branding will still live, on their website.

Started in March 28, 2004 (when Maori Television was launched) as Te Kaea, lasting until 2019 when it was rebranded to just Te Ao Maori News. In 2022, two bulletins were introduced for morning/midday and evening.

Te Ao with Moana will only be the only news/current affairs show on Whakaata Māori in 2025. The future of news in New Zealand is uncertain.

Why has government funding to Whakaata Maori been stagnant for 16 years? That’s far too long.

Sounds like they did get an increase but it was more like one of those performance bonuses you get at work, nice while you’re getting it, but your baseline salary remains the same.

The time-locked $10.3m boost from the last government, which has now expired, was a temporary lifeline

Got the impression from the way Shaun walked off the set on CRC Motorsport today, that it might have been the last time we see the old newshub set. Unusally long break before it returns in 2025… changes afoot?

Actually there’s a new set location, looks like it’ll be inside a garage by some luxurious cars.

Real or green screen?

Shortland Street new 2025 promo still, and under a new themed season: New Blood.
