Staff were told 8pm is getting its own resources not putting pressure on existing staff. But will draw on 6 and The Project content
That’s interesting its getting it’s own resourcing which is great, I’m surprised they haven’t gone full blown Newshub 24 news channel… Maybe that will happen at next year’s upfronts.
Will the Project be expanded to An hour!
Otherwise what would go weeknights 730?
6pm Newshub
7pm Project
730 ?
8pm Newshub
The 8pm bulletin is only airing on Gusto.
I dunno Paddy… there’s nothing to stop MediaWorks from leasing space on the Kordia/JDA mux and offering those outside of Disco. Disco will need the space on their own, if they want to keep everything in house, so that could mean the music channels will go.
I see Sky have finally paid for their chunk of spectrum, so I guess any ideas of that being lit-up again are gone (Unless they get serious about Prime and FTA TV).
Newshub @ 8 is not airing on Three, so it doesn’t matter.
@TV4 So does that mean no more free-to-air music television?
i wont be surprised if they pull the plug
Always thought they should use the “D” with the globe (but with NZ on the map) and add a 3 next to it. Rebrand to D3.
It would be great if TVNZ’s Breakfast could come from there
Kordia’s Channel 200 rebroadcasts Juice TV when no one’s bought time. I’ve no idea if the Edge TV or Breeze TV will continue… Unless it was announced yesterday and someone else can relay it, I guess only time will tell.
@theGradyConnell You mean “APEC”?
Yes. Too many acronyms to remember.
Which is pretty much all the time. The only actual programming I’ve seen on there are sign-language versions of the Covid briefings, some Orphans Aid infomercial that airs on Wednesdays, and a Pacifica-based church service that airs on Sundays. It’s pretty much a throwaway channel, mainly used to fill out space of the multiplex.
Badly worded but seems they aim for it to be take 4th place in the free to air ratings.
Still not sold on the rebrand from Choice to Gusto, it just doesn’t sound like a FTA channel name - especially one that aims to be fourth in the NZ market.
It’s also used internationally for a food network, which just debuted on 7+ at the beginning of this year.
9am in the morning on TVNZ 2 because news resources can’t be on TVNZ 1 only
Lots of consolidation of Media in 2022, getting house keeping in order and back to being competitive in market place
I wonder if we will get a summer morning show?
