They really should use this set for breakfast especially as a soft set it looks way better, they would still need a desk set up, but it could very well be done

I realise there’s been so much on the govt’s plate, but I really wish they could just move a bit faster with a few things. Decisions need to be carefully considered and well thought through of course, but I’m not convinced delaying decisions necessarily needs to better ones.

I like the not for profit part and hope it’s a genuine public broadcaster even if it is a hybrid model whatever that means. Three and Prime must be rubbing their hands with glee at the content rights they will snap up as a result of this merger. Does this mean TVNZ Ondemand will no longer be the place to access great free content?

What did the actual race look like? Did they take the 10 feed with Hill?

Not sure sorry here is caps of the race feed

They will have more content up for grabs if they went to ABC Australia’s model

Australian drama Spreadsheet started tonight on TVNZ2, replacing Wentworth. It was originally produced for Paramount+ in Australia and debuted there on October 20.

Would Rush be similar to 9Rush with the adventure and adrenaline shows?

I’m going to say probably exactly the same, since 9Rush is a joint arrangement with Discovery.

I don’t know about you guys but I’m absolutely excited about the launch of these new channels. Yes, it may be just more reality shows but we’re getting a new Newshub bulletin (in a non-competitive timeslot, mind you) so that’s a big plus. Discovery is really making strides with Three in a larger capacity than the last years of the Mediaworks ownership ever did, and I’m all for it.

I’m more concerned about how exactly Newshub Late will be “reshaped” to accommodate the new bulletin. Could this mean they’re chasing more of a Newsworthy-type show again?

Oh, and we’re getting a business bulletin back at half-past 5 in the morning before the new AM show. I wonder what this is reminding me of? Cough cough, Sunrise NZ, cough cough.

Does that mean that reality home renovation show programmes from the USA currently on Three will move to Gusto

I think this is the first 05:30 News show on any NZ TV network as ASB Business was on between 0630-0700 with Sunrise airing between 0700-0900

I wish TVNZ would launch its own early morning bulletin at 5.30am (just before Breakfast)…

They wouldn’t be crazy not too, or they could just launch a 5am bulletin.

Who’s watching that early though? What are the ratings for 6am-7am… I imagine they’re pretty abysmal.

Shame the Choice moniker will go, I liked that one. Hopefully they keep hold of the core programmes, from the people I know, they’ve built up a loyal audience since 2012.

Good to see at least one new channel next year, given we’ve lost four or five in 2021 (albeit fairly irrelevant ones). Hopefully they’ll make use of LCN’s 8 & 9 for the new channels.
