Network Ten 2017

Seems that 550k is the new benchmark for Ten.

Disagree. Doctor Doctor seems to have clearly beaten The Wrong Girl. Performance on a par with Wonderland ATM.

It’ll be really interesting with the launch of tendaily. Especially how they present their content. Have we got a logo yet? Or even a launch date?

Heres an idea for a segment: “Tim Baily on tendaily”

Wouldn’t surprise me if they did decide to onsell one of the only overseas formats that had a chance of rating

I don’t think blaming the power is a really good excuse. It isn’t fairing well at all. Lets put that into reality and not defend the show. Ten obviously have some confidence in it to renew it and it must be doing ok on all platforms and making some sort of money for Ten. And lets look at the bigger picture, even if it isn’t somes cup of tea it is better than the shit they served up last year in that timeslot and earlier this year. Yes I am talking about The Good Wife and Madam Secretary.

I’m happy for the Wrong Girl to be returned. Sometimes a series can find its feet in its second outing. I am disappointed that they’ve opted for a 3rd female skewing rom-com type dramedy, presumably set in the same inter-city locale. A bit of diversity would be nice. We’re not all 16-25 females who fantasise that we’re all cool chicks living in a trendy suburb (J Bar excepted):weary:

I agree. As Beverley McGarvey said, Ch 10’s line-up was a bit all over the place due to the Olympics.

It would have been sad to see The Wrong Gorl get axed, when better programming & lead-ins next year could see it do better

I thought the drama wasn’t bad, got a good cast too.

Did you forget that I was critical of The Wrong Girl mimicking Offspring. The book was set in Sydney but it was stupid Ten who decided it to make it way too similar to Offspring. Although it probably would have had a very different cast too if it was set in Sydney.

And I only fantasise about those cool chicks who are 16-25 females and live in a trendy suburb. :stuck_out_tongue:

Very true. But the 4 leads in the Wrong Girl are Sydney based as is Craig Mc. So cast may have been similar. The production company is also Sydney based, so it’s quite odd Ten chose Melbourne, particularly given that Melbourne already does well out of Ten. It could all backfire on Ten a little if they continue to ignore the rest of Australia.

Ew.

I read Shark Tank is back too. Wasn’t this poorly scheduled this year?

Yes, it was moved from Sunday nights then towards the end was aired over 2 nights. The first season was all over the place too airing between 7:30-9:00pm.

Yeah it was very poorly dealt with. Hopefully Ten air it in a consistent slot. I have always thought Tuesdays 8:30 would work for it. It might be nicely suited to air along with Survivor.

Ten need to either give up on airing first run content on Sundays and go with movies or give it a shot with a chat show. Dramas just dont work for Ten on Sundays.

Ten are filming a pilot for a new chat show next Friday. So who knows where that leads…

Interesting thanks for that information. Is there an article you can link?

No. Got an invite to the taping.

Are you going?

Promising. We air for baited breath for ten to actually produce more local content.

Despite what they say I still don’t see a 40 week prime time schedule from their upfronts.

I see Sunday still continuing to struggle.

No offence but The Good Wife is way better than Wrong Girl.

Well this is good, I have no clue to what it could be, but I would suggest a 1hr midday/afternoon show
