This thread will quickly evolve into the now closed rampant speculation thread if we (even jokingly) analyse every aspect of Ten leading up to any possible future network changes.
On topic though - they’ve used that call to action in their social posts for a while now, I can’t imagine they’d want to build on that on-air considering 9 are already in that space with 9 News Now in the afternoons.
Can we just set up a random Ten thread where people can just speculate and just say what the f**k they want. Rather than getting 30 new posts in the 2019 thread thinking something big has happened?
100 new posts = the new TEN logo revealed.
70 new posts = TEN News First confirmed not to be the new name.
50 new posts = Ita Buttrose and Jessica Rowe announced as hosts of “Ten and Not Friends”, the riotous new breakfast program.
30 new posts = Sandra Sully wrote the word NOW on her twitter feed.
20 new posts = Natarsha Belling said “but FIRST”
10 new posts = absolutely nothing happened.
150 new posts = Ten drops the Eyewitness as WIN announces their new graphics package incorporating WIN Eyewitness News and a move away from their old Nine packages since it’s now been long enough and they’ve gotten to that item on their to do list.
There’s a difference between meaningful speculation (based either on facts or credible rumours) and baseless speculation (based on people drawing longbows or repeating the same fanciable suggestions over and over and over again [eg; Ten’s logo being replaced by CBS’ logo]).
The problem is most of the discussion about Ten’s possible relaunch has involved the latter…
Hence why i suggested a thread where this dicsussion has a place to happen. It is quite overwhelming reading 30-40 new posts that have absolutely nothing to do with what ten has announced for 2019.
I think the mods are going to have to accept some here are obsessed with speculating about what ten are going to do. What are the mods going to do? Keep locking all threads in the ten section?
For a start we can cease the unnecessary commentary on post counts.
Nobody minds speculation. We have a problem with the same baseless speculation being rehashed ad nauseam. Baseless, off the wall speculation is likely to be deleted.
