Neighbours

Appearing as Courtney and Shane. Interesting.

Good, that sounds like it could be an interesting storyline.

An interesting article, but doesn’t anyone proof-read any more? Apart from a spelling mistake (alter/altar), they transposed a character and actor’s name (“Kyal Marsh played by Boyd Hoyland”)!

Seems standard in journalism these days. I see errors in articles in all media, all the time. They rely on spellcheck which will correct your spelling but will not correct an error like that.

Neighbours’ 35th Birthday Week Starts Today.

Special Anniversary Episodes At 6.30pm And 7.00pm This Week On 10 Peach.

It’s time to wrap the presents, ice the cake and put the finishing touches on the party playlist because today, Neighbours’ 35th birthday gets under way.

Whether you’re feeling sentimental or desperate for a dose of drama, every night this week Neighbours is serving up nostalgic anniversary episodes at 6:30pm and explosive Neighbours End Game episodes at 7:00pm, only on 10 Peach.

No one likes a party pooper, so we won’t spill all the details but can promise three unexpected deaths and five tear-jerking weddings. Whether you’re hungry for romance or have an appetite for a thrill, you can have your cake and eat it too.

Tonight at 6:30pm, the highly-anticipated Wedding Expo kicks off in Erinsborough with Lucy Robinson (Melissa Bell) and Mark Gottlieb (Bruce Samazan) rekindling their love by taking a leap of faith and saying, “I do”.

Wedding bells continue to ring with four more weddings this week with Paige Smith (Olympia Valance) and Scott McGregor (Mark Brennan), Prue Wallace (Denise Van Outen) and Gary Canning (Damien Richardson), Sky Mangel (Stephanie McIntosh) and Lana Crawford (Bridget Neval), and Des Clark (Paul Keane) and Jane Harris (Annie Jones) all getting bitten by the love bug.

Forget about toilet paper and stock up on tissues, because with this many white dresses and heart felt declarations of love, there won’t be a dry eye in the house. We’re not crying, you’re crying.

At 7:00pm Neighbours End Game sees Elly Conway (Jodi Anasta), Finn Kelly (Rob Mills), Bea Nilsson (Bonnie Anderson), Chloe Brennan (April Rose Pengilly), Pierce Greyson (Tim Robards) and Toadie (Ryan Moloney) pack their bags and head off to an insta-worthy island to celebrate Elly’s 35th birthday glamping in five-star style.

Preoccupied by the sun-soaked beach and each other’s bikini and board short clad bodies, the party goers ignore the signs that Finn’s memory is returning. Driven by his utter infatuation with Elly, Finn is plotting to win her back and will take out anyone who is standing in his way.

Things go from sunny and cheery to dark and twisted very quickly as Bea is first to fall victim to Finn’s old ways. Will she make it back to Erinsborough alive?

Neighbours star, Rob Mills said: “Filming Neighbours End Game was such an intense experience with the unravelling of Finn’s psyche, his vulnerability and the extreme turn he takes on the island.

"I feel incredibly privileged to be part of the Neighbours family, especially in the show’s 35th year as it continues to push boundaries and engage with audiences in Australia and around the world.”

Good to see the one-hour episode tonight. Was an interesting concept.

There was no opening title/theme music. Just a Neighbours title card, and then straight into the show. All the characters/actors names appeared in the closing credits, which hasn’t happened in a while.

The first half was mainly set at Lassiters, with Wedding #1 (Mark and Lucy). The second half was set on The Island.

ABC reports the worker on the set of Neighbours had come into contact with the person who has tested positive to coronavirus, the latter of whom worked at the Melbourne Fashion Festival last week.

So far three shows have temporarily shut down production:
Neighbours
Wentworth
The Real Housewives of Melbourne

Which show will be next?

Meanwhile…

Tonight ends the “35th Anniversary Week”. Monday (23rd March) goes back to normal 30 minute episodes. Ratings seem to be up this week too. I’ve enjoyed the one-hour length episodes (which I know are technically double 30-min episodes).

Anyone else watch it this week from this forum?

Am surprised with the death of one of the characters tonight. Didn’t expect him to leave.

I reckon tonight’s “End Game” was one of the best Neighbours episodes I’ve seen. The show has really stepped it up and the promo for next week is next level. The storyline is set to play out for weeks. I hope they’ve hooked in some new viewers this week. Sad to see Des and Jane go though. Love them to come back as regulars. The acting quality is much better when they’re around.

A few rumours going around that Jane could be coming back as a regular (without Des though).

So apparently the cast are going to go back to filming next week under new conditions. Will we be seeing every scene with people standing 4m2 apart from each other?

They went back to filming on Friday.

Bittersweet, (if true), but Jane has been such an awesome addition, and has fit in with the new cast really well.

There has been a leaked audition online and it seems they are casting Jane’s daughter. So if she returns permanently, she will also have children around.

I’d love for this to be true. I’d take one out of two. It makes such a difference to the show having experienced, authentic actors like Annie Jones.
