i think it might end up being revamped into a 1 hour episode each week if its renewed unless the numbers justify the continuance at 4 episodes a week.
yes 3 episodes is also possible but would Ten continue it at 4pm 3 days a week or could Ten slot it in the new Neighbours episode at say 6pm til 7:30pm Saturdays with these episodes encoring at 6pmpm Sunday on 10Peach with 10 Peach encores at 7:00am til 8:30am Saturday mornings
It still airs on the national broadcaster in Ireland RTÉ which differs from the UK. On the primary channel during the day and on the secondary channel in early primetime.
Not sure if this is still the case, but Sally Anne-Upton, who plays Vera, is also the on set nurse, so might be cheaper to use her since she is already there anyway.
Still, the whole having Vera move into the share house is still bizarre IMO - if they wanted to have her play a bigger role, or fill some gaps in stories, just have her pop in more often while still living in her own house.
Well, that’s a ridiculous thing to say. It’s not like she’s stepping in front of the cameras when she has a free moment nursing.
I’d say she would be told when she was needed for her acting role and then if she wasn’t scheduled to work for a while, she could request shifts on the roster to do her nursing role.
Harold waves goodbye to Ramsay Street. We’re sharing the sad news that Ian Smith will soon be stepping away from the beloved role of Harold Bishop. Ian first played Harold in 1987 and it’s been a huge privilege to welcome him back to the show over the years.
We’re also thrilled to announce that Anne Charleston will be joining Ian on set for some of his last scenes. In what context Anne will appear is yet to be revealed, but to have the iconic couple reunited will be one final treat for fans.
Erinsborough won’t quite be the same again, but rest assured that Harold is set to have a send-off fit for Ramsay Street royalty.
Very sad news but I’m so glad that he has been able to leave on his own terms rather than if the show gets cancelled again.
Ian/Harold are so loved and respected, not just in Neighbours but in the entire industry and his last episodes have the potential to be huge. I hope so. He really deserves it.
