Neighbours

That’s their own problem. Seven have never said and the promos do not give the impression it’s a new series. Not in the slightest.

Interesting how all the media have jumped on board and have provided widespread publicity for the revival. A shame they didnt support Neighbours much when it was still in production. I wonder if they will still show any interest after it actially launches late next year.

I thought that this morning when Today ran the story and had an interview with Toadfish.

It’ll be interesting to see where 10 put this next year.

I don’t think we’ll see it return to 10 Peach. I can see it potentially moved into the 4.00pm afternoon time slot if it’s back to 5 episodes a week.

It was all over 7’s shows too and news .

They keep saying it will be on “10” in interviews so it seems like they mean it will be on the main channel. What about 6pm? It could achieve the same ratings as the third half hour of the news.

They’re not going to be changing the news (if they’ve got half a brain, which recent years have shown maybe not…)

It would be stupid to put it on the main channel if the show has only been revived for a fixed period of time. What happens when the show finishes after perhaps a few months? Not good for consistency.

Since when is programming on networks ever consistent?

6:00 Simpsons

(yes i know it will never happen but one can dream)

The Project first half hour rates shit anyway and it would help with points

What I mean is, let’s say hypothetically Ten have Neighbours air 6.30pm weeknights on the main channel. As a result The Project is shortened to 30 mins.

Let’s say Neighbours is only revived for a fixed period of six months throughout the second half of 2023. Once the six months are up, is Ten just supposed to revert The Project to 1 hr and pretend like nothing happened? It’s very short sighted and disruptive to make a major change to main channel programming in prime time for such a small period of time.

They wouldn’t do that anyway.

Sounds like the 30 minute (5 shows) a week might be changed.

I’m hoping for two 1 hour episodes a week

I’m getting that impression… 10 would most likely show it in a 9.30pm time slot.

Err… yes? I don’t know why this confuses you so much. If it does fail after six months, as you seem to think it will, then Channel 10 can easily just extend The Project back to an hour. In a further six months everyone will have forgotten that Neighbours came back in the first place.

Not a bad idea.
