I’d be rather interested to know if Chris White is still at NBN News. There’s another one we haven’t heard from for a while.
I think you might be referring to Tahlia Sarv, who is still reporting for NBN News but has moved South to Newcastle. As far as I can tell, NBN News’ new Taree reporter is Georgia Maher.
Of the North Coast regions, I think Coffs Harbour and Lismore have two reporters for NBN News while Taree and Port Macquarie get one. Although don’t quote me on that!

I just saw a slide on NBN News advertising the Budget Special at 10:40 tonight with Laurie Oakes. It had a large 9 News logo in the middle of the screen. I missed getting a shot of it. Now that they’re obviously advertising 9 News on NBN News, I wonder if this indicates that there may be a name change soon?

Tonight NBN News aired the NSW State Of Origin “live” team announcement that was hosted by Tim Gilbert from Star City Casino that was also on Nine News Sydney.
The NBN airing happened about 1 min after it was on Nine News but didn’t have a solid coverup of the Nine News logo on the super (like they have for the afternoon news). It just had the regular NBN News watermark superimposed over it, and it looked a bit clunky. Sorry I didn’t get a cap.

Hmm, I wonder if Amanda Bennett & Sally Rafferty are going to be reporters for the new regional Queensland editions of Nine News?

How come NBN News still doesn’t have the new graphics package? All they have is the new opener. It shouldn’t be that hard to create a new NBN News coverup (like the Gold Coast has) to go with the graphics package. Even the regional bulletins have the new graphics package…
NBN News also has their transition graphics in the current Nine News style. But yeah, still plenty of older look elements in use.
I can only guess that NBN News is currently running an older/less powerful graphics system compared to Nine News elsewhere. Also with a studio move for Newcastle not overly far off the horizon, local management probably felt that it wasn’t worth doing a full upgrade of the system when they’d only be using it for a year or less.

If Nine were smart, with this whole re-try at the NBN rebrand, they could alter the VO to “this is Nine’s NBN News”
For news, they could change the opening VO to “this is Nine’s NBN News…” but keep the current NBN logo. When they update their graphics, they can use a coverup that transitions between “9 News” and “NBN News” logos (simiar to the afternoon “9 News/9 at 4pm” logo).
Then after the move, change it to localised Nine News openers, but keep the “this is Nine’s NBN News” VO. Several months later, finally retire the NBN name in full.
Or they could do something similar to Nightline “From Nine News this is NBN News…”
Just doesn’t have the same ring to it unlike From National Nine News, this is NBN News. 
Doesn’t really roll of the tongue through, does it?
