After the launch announcement back in March, CNBC’s Brazilian channel is underway. As a joint-venture with local media group Times Brasil, it’s officially named Times | CNBC, and it’s set to launch on November 3.

The channel’s new social media accounts shared some renderings [ed] of their São Paolo office and set today:

TBH i didn’t see this on my Bingo cards this year.
You’d reckon they’ll stick to a female duo or back to male & female duo??

Surely it’ll be Craig Melvin or Willy Geist

I really like Willie I would love to see him on today

Reckon she’ll have a male replace her.

I’d say Craig

Who usually fills in when either Hoda or Savannah are away?

See above ^ lol

Craig or Willy.

You’d think Craig will get the gig.

Good for her, leaving on her own terms. She was kind of the accidental co-presenter after the Matt Lauer matter, and she’s done a great job.

Everyone on an American media forum I’m on seems to think it will be Craig. I think Willie is probably too important to Morning Joe.

The thing is she is potentially leaving 2 shows with 2 levels of chemistry. Will they replace her with 2 different hosts?

I reckon Sheinelle Jones will join Jenna in the 10am hour.
She normally fills in I’m pretty sure and has the right personality and good chemistry with Jenna.

I suspect Craig will take over as co-anchor, even though I would prefer Willie Geist. Can’t see them taking him off Morning Joe, especially with a new president next year.
I reckon they will still have a “third anchor”/news anchor, like Craig is now. I reckon that will also be Sheinelle.

Also don’t know why in the article on Today’s website says she’s been co-anchor for 5 years. It will be 7 years by the time she finishes up.

The way morning Joe operates frustrates me. Hosts in different studios / locations talking in 3 way boxes. Seems to be a common thing on cable news and it’s crazy.

A few weeks ago Mika and Joe hosted the whole show with 1 framed shot infront of the terrible white house background.
It seems such a waste when they don’t show off or use the set. It’s a decent set too.

That’s because half the time, they’re not actually on that set - instead Mika and/or Joe often do the show from their apartment in Miami.

This explains a lot then. What a mess.
I mean they sound like they have it pretty good but to me the result of the program is so disjoined and so impersonal using the 2 / 3 way boxes

Joe also seems to have this weird habit of starting to ask a guest a question, then monologuing for a minute or two, leaving the guest sitting in suspended animation. When Joe finally stops having his say the guest usually only gets 15 to 30 seconds of actual input before being cut off again.

The show is very frustrating and awkward, I can’t understand how it rates the way it does.

That’s not a unique quality for American shows quite frankly, especially the opinionated cable talk shows.

What’s more frustrating to me is the use of in-home studios that a lot of American shows have adopted post-pandemic. The networks waste so much money building replica sets in their talent’s homes rather than just forcing them into the building.

I actually think the virtual set, different locations and multiple zoom/teams call boxes work for the show… it brings the viewer into the conversation.

The main issue that makes the show unwatchable is Joe and Mika’s intense Democrat bias and blatant hatred of President Trump. It’s completely unprofessional and laughable for so called journalists on that panel, including Mika to behave in that way.
