Yes, a promo showing some of the teams and scenes of IRs a few minutes ago.

It did, after the race.

So filming must’ve nearly (or has) finished & a few months of post-production before February?

It’s during the Australian Open that the promos become really tedious :expressionless:

Do you think 7 will use 201(7) to announce something?

Not watching MKR promos during summer

Ch 7’s “summer promo saturation” strategy has been paying off big time though.

I think airing them around Melbourne Cup time has a lot to do with Ch 10 (and to a lesser extent) Ch 9’s prime-time programming over summer.

Still, I’ve never watched an ep of MKR & don’t plan on doing so (one cooking show is enough for me & that will continue into MC’s ninth season in 2017) :+1:

Am I the only one who thinks that is a terrible promo?

Something new for the Show Bag, an MKR wax seal stamp.

Not terrible, but not as good as last year’s.

Surprised it didn’t say “after the tennis” - only 3 months to go.

News Corp has an article on the song used in the promo: We Belong by Sheppard. Apparently the group planned to launch the song next year until they were asked by Seven for permission to use it to promote MKR.

I somehow doubt they’ll replace the Justice Crew song though. I think it’s too iconic to change now.

The Sheppard song sounds like a (partial) cover of the Justice Crew song from the ads, so that could ease the transition to a new theme song.

Or else we’ll see riots in the streets per the outcry when they stopped using Tik Tok.

Why does it have to be “It’s MKR Season” on the ads? Sounds tacky imho. It’s like someone from Warner Bros wrote their as for them.

You ARE talking about Seven here. Goes hand in hand really. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

New promo aired tonight during the AACTA Awards, revealing the fourth judge is a guy. Cue the guesses.

They did this a lot in 2007 too, from what I recall.

Though there wasn’t anything overly memorable about their programming then either.

Does it really matter? Isn’t this judge just someone going to be on a few episodes for one round of contestants home restaurants? It’s not like it’s a permanent new judge or anything yet apparently that requires over 2 months of promotion.

With respect, I do believe you’re overlooking the fact that this is MKR season…
