If Colin thinks the programming is the biggest problem with this show, he should stick to cooking.
An old television game show was mentioned during a promo for tomorrow nightâs show that has just aired in Sydney.
What old game show?
The Weakest Link.
Itâs hard to choose what is the weakest link in this season since there have been so many horrendous changes.
True that. The show couldâve still done 700-800K if they kept their older format. Instead with their new format that potential has been halved.
I notice Seven has increased the number of encores of previous nightâs episode across the network. For example, tonightâs episode will be repeated tomorrow on main channel from midday to 1.30pm, then on 7TWO from 1.30pm to 3pm, then on 7flix from 3pm to 4.30pm.
Disappointed there isnât a 7mate repeat from 4:30pm - 6pm just to complete the sweep
Had 7food survived, then MKR couldâve also been encored on that channel too!
7 wouldâve expected that MKR would come second to MAFS, but they never wouldâve expected for it to come 3rd, let alone 4th or even 5th!
Theyâll be scrambling now to work out an alternative strategy. Letâs hope itâs not another half baked idea.
I dont know if this can happen, but can Seven edit MKR and also air slightly less ads during the show to make it a one-hour show each night? Would that make it rate any higher than what it has been getting?
I tried watching it and only lasted 10 minutes. I can tell you its not the programming that killed the show and its not the best one they have done.
I was talking about how both were responsible. Format change is the biggest issue but their programming decisions werenât wise either debuting against Iâm a Celebrity and Australian Open GF.
They shouldâve started before the Australian Open like Iâm a Celebrity and get some audience hooked, but thatâs probably too hard for them since they have to deal with the now ratings-dud that is the BBL and once again their new format which is a mish-mash of MAFS, Survivor (rivalry crap and âstrategiesâ in scoring etc) with a bit of cooking thrown inside.
Seven are a total mess and they know it (well they should know it).
Colin is now begging viewers to watch this season.
Getting desperate are we, Seven?
I am not overly impressed with Colin and his hissy fit that this season isnât resonating with viewers. He is having a go at the audience for liking another show. Perhaps if he was a bit more positive about things rather than making the audience feel that they are dumb for watching another show then people might be more inclined to listen.
I am absolutely not a fan of his. I find his whole attitude and demeanour a complete turn off.
Same as Pete Evans⌠absolutely detest him, he has a punchable look about him.
Manu I quite like as a personality, but not enough to keep watching MKR⌠Iâll admit that I watched perhaps the first 2 or 3 seasons of MKR but as it continued to grow into an ugly bitch fest I tuned out.
Heâs at least somewhat genuine in what he does. Pete and Colin gives off an egotistical and arrongant vibe in everything he does. Pete and his paleo rubbish and Colinâs attitude here doesnât help their public profile either.
I never cared much for the show, but suspect MKR really turned into MBR after that infamous âSpice Girlsâ saga early on in the 2013 season.
The only thing I agree with Colin is that Married At First Sight really is âBotox at First Sightâ if you look closely enough
